Letter to the Girls,

Dear Sabrina and Francesca,  When I was little your great grandma Marj was putting together items for family memebers that were either starting out on their own for the first time or like your Auntie Sue - coming back from a missions trip and needed new items to start life back on the mainland.  She would go out shopping for deals on towels and sheets, pots and pans, bedding etc.  I always thought that was a cool idea and couldn't wait until I was moving out on my own to get my own set of Rubbermaid containers. Unfortunately grandma got sick before that could happen for me, but, I was determined to do it for the two of you when you got old enough, and this is my start.   As you two know feeding people is a form of love in our family, grandpa Chuck may not have been the best at telling people that he loved them but he sure could show it when he cooked up their favorite meal, I think sometimes I fall into that category with the two of you as well and I hope as you get older and out on your own you will see this as my amends to you and show you how much food and cooking equal love to me.   I'm hoping as you read this you'll find some of our favorite recipes and little tips I've leared along the way that can help you out as you forge your own path in the world, know that I love you both very much and hope you enjoy reading this as much as I have enjoyed teaching you the basics in the kitchen and hopefully life. Mom
